Stamps and Sprays Doodle Page

I’ve dedicated so much time to my mixed media projects recently that my art journaling got kind of neglected. If only there were more hours in the day! And these didn’t get filled up with chores, work, travelling, sleeping…. Anyway, I’ve started working in my new smaller art journal, which is really cute and also gives a different perspective to creating something on a page.

Here, I used Dylusions sprays in red, orange and yellow, then stamped over when it was dry with a few different stamps. I then used my favourite paint pens to create a detailed and textured doodle. It took me a few hours but I really like the end piece.

    1. Aww, thank you! Well, I have an idea for the background but when it comes to the doodling I kind of just go with it and not think that much – it is really relaxing 🙂

  1. Hi! Just thought I’d let you know that I have used this artwork as one of my ‘artist influences’ for one of my ideas in my GCSE Fine Art project and my teacher (as part of homework) has asked me to write a critical analysis on it! If you would like to read it, could you let me know and I’ll find a way to send it to you! Considering you’re an art blogger and not an artist from the 1800’s, I thought you deserve to know that some aspects of my final GCSE art exam piece might be influenced by this journal spread 🙂
